Background · Happy Home
Following Tupac's death, numerous releases pushed onto the market in which his estate had no part. Among them is the single Happy Home from the compilation The 'Pac & Biggie You Never Heard, released in 1998 on the US label Deff Trapp. On Discogs, the record is listed under the name of the group Trapp, not under 2Pac or The Notorious B.I.G.
Assembled Verses Following the Deff Trapp Pattern
Deff Trapp had already released a record in 1997 with Stop the Gunfight that combined verses from Tupac and Biggie with the group Trapp. The 'Pac & Biggie You Never Heard followed the same pattern. Where the recordings originated and in what form Tupac was involved is not verifiably documented on the release. Reliable information regarding its creation, production, and rights could not be found for this page. Fans should therefore regard it as a dubious release.
The Official Version Did Not Appear Until 2001
This single is not to be confused with the song of the same name on the official 2001 album Until the End of Time. That version was produced by Johnny "J", Jim Gettums, Dareen Vegas, and Crooked I. According to Wikipedia, it was released in advance as a single in December 2000.
Three Tracks on CD and Vinyl for Europe
This edition is the three-track single from Eagle Records, which Discogs lists as a European CD and UK 12" from 1998.
According to Discogs, Happy Home and Let's Be Friends come from the LP You Never Heard. Chart placements for this edition are not documented.
