Grammy 2000: "Changes" Nominated, the Award Goes to Eminem

At the Grammys in February 2000, Tupac was nominated with "Changes" for Best Rap Solo Performance. It was the sixth nomination for his music.

At the 42nd Grammy Awards in February 2000, Tupac was once again on the list of nominees. In the Best Rap Solo Performance category, Changes competed against Gimme Some More by Busta Rhymes, Vivrant Thing by Q-Tip, and Wild Wild West by Will Smith. Eminem won with My Name Is.

Six Nominations for His Music

For Tupac, it was the sixth nomination. He never won a Grammy. In 1996, Dear Mama and the album Me Against the World were nominated, in 1997 All Eyez on Me as Best Rap Album as well as California Love with Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman and How Do U Want It as Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. More about this and later honors can be found on the page about the Grammys.
