Tupac's Bandanas Under the Hammer
Two bandanas owned by a family friend, plus photos and hotel bills: In April 2020, personal items belonging to Tupac went up for auction.
A worn, still-knotted blue cloth and a red, apparently unworn one: on April 1, 2020, the Rock & Roll Pop Culture Auction listed two of Tupac’s bandanas. XXL reported on the offering the same day. According to the auction site, both came from “a very close family friend of Tupac’s” and were estimated at $2,000 to $4,000 each. The highest bid for the blue one stood at $1,774 on the day of the report.
From a Polaroid with the Outlawz to a Hotel Bill
The same offering included a Polaroid showing Tupac with the Outlawz, a handwritten letter to a woman, Death Row press materials for All Eyez on Me, and a signed bill from his 1996 stay at the Mondrian Hotel. Each piece came with a certificate of authenticity.
From the BMW to the Madonna Letter
XXL recalled that many items from Tupac’s life have been auctioned off since 1996, including the BMW in January and the farewell letter to Madonna. The Timeline provides historical context.
