Kading Again Demands Arrest of Keffe D

"Keffe D is a self-confessed perpetrator": In March 2020, former LAPD detective Greg Kading again demands Duane Davis's arrest in the Tupac Shakur murder case.

More than four months after his first demand, Greg Kading followed up. In March 2020, the former LAPD detective renewed his appeal in Britain’s Daily Star to arrest Duane “Keffe D” Davis: “Keffe D is a self-confessed perpetrator.” AllHipHop covered the interview on March 28.

Kading Calls the Open Confessions Unprecedented

Davis had publicly admitted his role in Tupac’s murder multiple times. According to the report, he had spoken out in a book and in documentaries; furthermore, he admitted to having procured the weapon for alleged shooter Orlando Anderson. In Kading’s own words, he could not imagine any case in American criminal history where a confessing murderer spoke freely about his crime unhindered; it was unprecedented.

Arrested in 2023, Found Guilty in 2026

At that point, Davis was still at large; Anderson had died in 1998. Davis was not arrested in Las Vegas until September 2023. In August 2026, a jury found him guilty. The background is traced on the pages covering the investigation and the book.
