Documentary Murder Rap: Kading's Allegations Against Sean Combs

Kading claims Sean Combs placed a bounty on Tupac. Combs denies any involvement and was not charged in the murder case.

In late January 2016, the documentary Murder Rap re-examined the murders of Tupac and Notorious B.I.G., as the Guardian reported. At the center is former police detective Greg Kading, who investigated the cases beginning in 2006 and later led a task force.

One Million Dollars for Keffe D

As The Source reported in early February, Kading claims that Sean “Diddy” Combs offered Crip member Duane “Keffe D” Davis one million dollars to kill Tupac and Suge Knight. According to Kading, Orlando Anderson shot Tupac after an altercation that same evening. Knight, in turn, ordered a retaliatory hit on Biggie for $13,000.

Combs Denies Any Involvement

These are Kading’s statements. Combs has denied any involvement, as the Guardian noted; Knight could not be reached. In April, asked about the film on The Breakfast Club, Combs said they do not discuss “nonsense”. The Guardian also noted that Anderson and Pooch Fouse had since been killed in unrelated incidents.

Combs was not charged in the murder case. Justice caught up with Duane Davis only decades later: he was arrested in 2023 and found guilty in 2026 (Trial of Duane Davis).
