Murder Trial of "Keffe D": Prosecution Rests Its Case
After 24 witnesses and eight hours of recordings, the prosecution rests against Duane "Keffe D" Davis earlier than expected. Now it's the defense's turn.
The prosecution played more than eight hours of recordings, mostly of Duane “Keffe D” Davis himself. On August 26, 2026, the prosecution rested its case in the murder trial against him, significantly earlier than expected. In total, it had called 24 witnesses.
A Book on Camera, a Murmur in the Courtroom
On the final day, only one witness took the stand: Adam Stoehr, who had prepared videos and phone calls for the prosecution. In an interview played in court, Davis held up his book and said: “This my book here. I would like you guys to buy it and get the real truth.” He has since denied writing it.
Stoehr also said Davis had mumbled something in the courtroom toward witness Reggie Wright Jr., Death Row’s former head of security. Now it is the defense’s turn.
