Camron Jones to Play Tupac in Snoop Dogg Biopic
Universal Pictures casts Camron Jones as Tupac in the Snoop Dogg biopic. The film is scheduled to hit US theaters on August 6, 2027.
Snoop Dogg’s story is heading to theaters, and Tupac is part of it. On August 25, 2026, The Hollywood Reporter reported that actor Camron Jones (known from Panic) will play Tupac in the biopic about Snoop Dogg. The film is being produced at Universal Pictures and is scheduled to open in US theaters on August 6, 2027. At the same time, it was revealed that Lauren London will play Snoop Dogg’s mother, Beverly Tate.
No Death Row Story Without Tupac
Casting Tupac had been expected: Snoop Dogg’s story cannot be told without his Death Row companion, as Billboard writes. Plot details have not been released.
The biopic is one of several productions in which Tupac appears as a character in 2026 and 2027, alongside the video game Stranger Than Heaven. At Death Row, both rappers were companions-more on their relationship can be found on the page for Snoop Dogg.
