E.D.I. Mean in the Davis Trial: “I Was Horrified”

No faces, just the arm with the gun: How Tupac's childhood friend Malcolm Greenidge testified in 2026 at the trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis.

On September 7, 1996, Malcolm Greenidge came to Las Vegas for the Tyson vs. Seldon boxing match. He was sitting in the car behind Tupac and Suge Knight when a light-colored Cadillac pulled up alongside their vehicle. On August 25, 2026, Tupac’s childhood friend, known as rapper E.D.I. Mean of the Outlawz, testified as an eyewitness at the trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis.

No Faces, Just the Arm with the Gun

He stated that he saw “the arm and the gun attached to that arm,” but no faces. The shooter appeared to be Black, and the shots came from the back seat. “I was horrified,” he said. Parts of his testimony matched Davis’ earlier accounts, such as regarding the shots from the back seat.

Tupac’s Warning and His Own Label

Greenidge also described how the severely wounded Tupac later called out to him to get on the ground before police officers threatened him with a shotgun. He also testified that Tupac had wanted to start his own label and had spoken with Quincy Jones.
