Murder trial of "Keffe D" moved to August 2026

The evidence is “voluminous”: why the murder trial of Duane “Keffe D” Davis was postponed by six months to August 2026.

Too much evidence for the schedule: On November 18, 2025, Judge Carli Kierny reset the start of the murder trial against Duane “Keffe D” Davis to August 10, 2026-six months later than previously planned. Davis’ attorney Robert Draskovich had requested the postponement because the volume of evidence to be reviewed was “voluminous.” The prosecution raised no objection.

New Team, No Bail

Davis had changed teams in August 2025 after being found guilty over the fight in jail. He has been held in custody without bail since September 2023 and denies the murder of Tupac Shakur.

Kickoff with the Jury

AllHipHop and The Source picked up the report in late November and early December. The trial then actually began in August 2026 with jury selection. A chronicle of the investigation can be found at The Investigation.
