Jailhouse Brawl: "Keffe D" Found Guilty on Two Counts
Brief deliberation: Duane "Keffe D" Davis is found guilty over a jailhouse brawl. The murder trial over Tupac remains separate.
The jurors deliberated for less than an hour and a half. On April 9, 2025, a Las Vegas jury found Duane “Keffe D” Davis guilty on two counts: battery by a prisoner and challenging someone to a fight. At issue was the confrontation with Rochlon Hamilton in December 2024, which had been captured on video.
Self-Defense or “Mutual Combat”
Davis’ defense attorney Carl Arnold had argued self-defense. The prosecution, in contrast, spoke of “mutual combat” and pointed to phone calls in which Davis allegedly boasted about the fight. Both sides stated that Davis tends to say things that can be used against him: the prosecution because it believes him, the defense because it considers his words worthless.
The Murder Trial Remains Separate
The murder trial over Tupac was not at issue in these proceedings. Sentencing followed in September. Context: The investigation.
