Prosecution Filing: Davis's Statements About Sean Combs
A 180-page filing in the Davis case reveals 2009 statements regarding Sean Combs. Combs denies any involvement and has not been charged.
On July 18, 2024, the Clark County District Attorney’s Office filed a roughly 180-page brief in court in the Duane Davis case. It was the response to the defense’s motion to reconsider bail. The filing became public on July 23 and 24. In it, prosecutors presented material that had not been shown to the grand jury: the transcript of an interview Davis gave to Las Vegas police in 2009.
Davis Brings Sean Combs Into Play
In it, Davis names Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs allegedly said in a room that he would give “anything for the head” of Suge Knight. Later, an acquaintance suddenly came into money. Davis also suggested that Combs paid the acquaintance one million dollars for the crime.
Combs Denies Any Involvement
These statements by Davis are unproven. Combs denies any involvement. A source close to him called the notion that prosecutors have evidence of this “categorically false and defamatory.” Las Vegas police also stated that Combs was never a suspect in the case. He has not been charged. Background: The Investigation.
