Snoop Dogg Opens Cannabis Store with Tupac Collection
Death Row Cannabis brings a limited Tupac collection to California stores. Snoop Dogg recalls his first joint in 1993.
Snoop Dogg got his first joint from Tupac in 1993, after a party for Poetic Justice. He shared that story in 2017 during Tupac’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On July 14, 2024, he brought that story back into the present.
Death Row Cannabis Honors Tupac
Near the Los Angeles airport, Snoop Dogg opened his first cannabis store on that day. For the launch, his brand Death Row Cannabis released a limited collection honoring Tupac. According to the announcement from Death Row Records, it is the brand’s first artist collaboration.
Voting via QR Code
The packaging includes a replica matchbook and one of four previously unreleased photos of Tupac in front of a Death Row graffiti wall. Customers can vote for their favorite strain via QR code; the winning strain is scheduled to join the product lineup permanently in the fall.
From California to Michigan
The collection was available in select California stores starting July 19, with Michigan to follow later. Snoop Dogg has run Death Row Records since the takeover in 2022. More on his friendship with Tupac: Snoop Dogg.
