Staci Robinson's Authorized Tupac Biography
Private notebooks, unpublished letters, and Afeni Shakur's blessing: Staci Robinson's authorized Tupac biography has been published.
Staci Robinson knew Tupac from high school in Marin County and stayed in touch with him until his death. On October 24, 2023, Tupac Shakur: The Authorized Biography by the screenwriter and journalist was published in the United States. Two days later, the edition from Century followed in the UK. It is the first biography explicitly supported by Tupac’s estate.
A Commission from Afeni Shakur
Afeni Shakur had approved the project before her death in 2016 and entrusted Robinson with her son’s story. The biography draws on Tupac’s private notebooks, letters, unpublished writings, and conversations with people close to him. Robinson had previously contributed to Tupac Remembered and was among the producers of Dear Mama. The book is reviewed separately: Tupac Shakur: The Authorized Biography.
