$95,000 for a Handwritten Tupac Poem from 1995
$95,000 for a poem from prison: According to the dealer, "All Eye Was Lookin 4" is the origin of All Eyez On Me. That is unproven.
On August 26, 1995, Tupac was still in prison. A handwritten poem dated to that day bears the dedication “4 Simi from the heart of 2Pac” and alludes to Samson and Delilah as well as Romeo and Juliet. In late December 2021, the sheet surfaced on the market from a private collection: autograph dealer Moments in Time offered “All Eye Was Lookin 4” for $95,000.
According to the Dealer, the Origin of the Title Track
Moments in Time described the text as the “origin” of the title track of All Eyez On Me, which was released in February 1996. Vibe and Complex reported this statement from the seller, but cited no independent evidence for it.
Following “Lost Soulz” for his 50th birthday, this was the second Tupac poem to become public in 2021. An overview of his writings is provided in the poems section.
