First Official Tupac NFTs: The “Immortal Collection”
From the 2Pac ring to the medallion: On December 15, 2021, the estate released its first official NFT series with the “Immortal Collection”.
Four pieces of jewelry from Tupac’s personal collection went digital in December 2021. On December 15, the estate launched the “Immortal Collection” on the MakersPlace platform-the first NFT series it had authorized itself.
Four Originals Serve as Models
The four digital jewelry pieces are based on well-known items from his possession: his 2Pac ring and diamond solitaire, a Makaveli bracelet, and the medallion he wore in the last photo taken of him. The series was produced by Digital Arts & Sciences in collaboration with Impossible Brief. According to the announcement, the four motifs represent “Artist, Activist, Sinner, Saint.”
A Preview of the Exhibition
At the same time, they served as a first look at pieces from the exhibition Wake Me When I’m Free, which was scheduled to open in Los Angeles in January 2022. The reports do not state how high the proceeds were.
