"2Pac Must Die": Glasses Malone Recounts Tupac's Death from Orlando Anderson's Perspective

The night of September 7, 1996 from the suspect's perspective: In "2Pac Must Die," Glasses Malone stages the events of Tupac's murder as a music video.

The night of September 7, 1996, from the perspective of Orlando Anderson: In July 2019, rapper Glasses Malone released the single “2Pac Must Die (Orlando Anderson)” along with a video. The track is dedicated to Anderson. The Source reported on July 18, citing Complex. Anderson, long the prime suspect in the murder case, had denied any involvement and was killed in another shooting in 1998 (murder case).

A Theft at a Gas Station Sets Events in Motion

The video shows the fistfight at the MGM Grand, in which Tupac and companions beat Anderson, as well as the shots on the street. Also shown is a theft from a Death Row member at a gas station that, in this depiction, sets events in motion (1996 shooting).

Artistic Interpretation Rather Than Evidence of the Crime

At the premiere, Malone said he was interested in the truth because people die when nobody speaks honestly. Online reactions were divided; some considered the video tasteless. In the end, it remains an artistic interpretation, not evidence of how the crime unfolded.
