A Poem for Tupac: Estate Calls for Poetry Month
Original verses for a fan bundle: In April 2019, the estate issued a call for US Poetry Month and released a collection based on Tupac's poems.
No insults, no profanity, no calls to criminal acts: For National Poetry Month in the US, the estate invited fans to enter a contest in April 2019. Anyone submitting an original poem about how Tupac inspires them could win a merchandise bundle. According to the call, only submissions from the US in English were eligible to participate. The Source reported it on April 25.
Fashion and Notebooks to Celebrate Art
In parallel, a collection based on Tupac’s poems was released in the official 2Pac shop. It includes a denim jacket, a hoodie, T-shirts, a tote bag, a pencil set, and a notebook. The estate explained that this was celebrating Tupac’s passion for art.
From Teenage Poetry to the 2020 Edition
Tupac wrote poems even as a teenager. A selection was published after his death as the volume The Rose That Grew From Concrete (poems, book). The contest returned in 2020: second edition.
