Tupac's Estate Honors Nipsey Hussle

On March 31, 2019, Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed. A day later, Tupac's estate spoke out on Instagram: a champion had been lost.

On March 31, 2019, Nipsey Hussle was killed by multiple gunshots in front of his clothing store in Los Angeles. The rapper was 33 years old. Already on April 1, a brief tribute appeared on Tupac’s official Instagram account.

The Estate Speaks Out

The estate’s statement read in essence: a champion has been lost. Without people who understand his life and carry on his work, the community will be weaker. The page is run by the estate. Posts of this kind show that it also uses the account as a voice on current events.

Vibe Draws the Parallel to 1996

Vibe reported on the post on April 2 and linked the news to Tupac’s own end: he was shot in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996, and died on September 13 (1996 shooting). Vibe cites four hits on Tupac. The report does not claim a connection between the two crimes; none has been proven.
