The BMW from the Night of the Shooting Is for Sale for $1.5 Million
In February 2017, Moments in Time offered the BMW 750iL in which Tupac was shot: for $1.5 million and with over 92,000 miles on the odometer.
On September 7, 1996, shots were fired on the Las Vegas Strip. Behind the wheel sat Suge Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, who owned the vehicle (The 1996 Shooting). Tupac was shot and died six days later. In February 2017, the car was up for sale: California memorabilia dealer Moments in Time listed the black 1996 BMW 750iL for $1.5 million.
More Than 92,000 Miles on the Odometer
According to AP, whose report was printed by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the listing stated nothing about the car’s path since the attack. A check of the vehicle identification number showed, however, that it had been driven extensively: more than 92,000 miles were on the odometer.
The Review-Journal dated the listing to February 21. A week later, on February 28, Musikexpress also reported on it.
