Second Trailer for "All Eyez on Me" on the 20th Anniversary of His Death

On the 20th anniversary of his death, new footage from the biopic surfaced. On September 13, 2016, director Benny Boom released a new trailer for All Eyez on Me on Instagram.

Dispute with Dan Quayle and Shots at Quad Studios

The preview opens before an audience: Tupac, played by Demetrius Shipp Jr., responds to Dan Quayle, the former vice president who had publicly attacked him (on that conflict: Dan Quayle). The trailer then looks back at the 1994 ambush at Quad Recording Studios, where Tupac was shot five times, and at his loyalty to the Notorious B.I.G.

Rolling Stone called the trailer intense and violent; in it, Tupac also rejects advice from his mother. Danai Gurira plays Afeni, Jamal Woolard the Notorious B.I.G.

Release Date Not Until Tupac’s 46th Birthday

Initially, no release date was named. In November, June 16, 2017, leaked out-Tupac’s 46th birthday (report); Rolling Stone later added that, according to the Hollywood Reporter, Lionsgate had set that date.
