Jerry Heller accuses Suge Knight of ordering Tupac's killing
A drastic accusation without evidence: in 2015, former N.W.A manager Jerry Heller claimed that Suge Knight ordered the shooting.
In October 2015, former N.W.A manager Jerry Heller lashed out in an interview with the site Smashd, both at the film Straight Outta Compton (“nothing to do with what we did”) and at Suge Knight.
An accusation in an interview
As Billboard reported on October 12, Heller claimed Knight ordered a hit on Tupac: “He absolutely did. Unquestionably put the hit on him.” The police could have solved the case if they had wanted to, Heller said. He also insinuated that Knight played a role in the deaths of Eazy-E and Biggie.
No evidence, no charges
In the passages Billboard quoted, Heller offered no evidence. The report contains no response from Knight. Investigators have not charged Knight in the murder case.
Instead, Duane Davis was found guilty in 2026, and his lawyer announced an appeal: Trial of Duane Davis. On Knight’s place in the circle around the crime see the overview of suspects.
