Diamond for "All Eyez On Me"

Ten million units through double counting: The RIAA certifies Tupac's 1996 double album "All Eyez On Me" diamond.

For double albums, each disc counts individually. In early August 2014, The Source and rap.de reported that the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified Tupac’s double album All Eyez On Me diamond. That corresponds to ten million units sold; The Source spoke of five million shipped copies, which are thus counted twice.

Number-One Hits on Death Row and Criticism of G-Funk

The album was released on February 13, 1996, on Death Row Records and included the number-one singles “How Do U Want It” and “California Love”. rap.de recalled that Tupac was murdered seven months after its release and mentioned that the G-funk-heavy album had not been without artistic controversy.

According to The Source, Greatest Hits is also among the rapper’s diamond albums. An overview of awards and sales is provided on the page Sales Figures and Certifications.
