Mail from the Cell: Tupac's Letter to Chuck D

“Letter from Pac, but you should have seen mine.” With this line, Chuck D of Public Enemy posted a letter from Tupac on Twitter on June 23, 2014. Rolling Stone recounted the contents. The letter dates from September 1995, when Tupac was in prison. In it, he thanks Chuck for his supportive letter.

Movie Role, Song, and an Album Called Euthanasia

Tupac writes that he learned a lot on tour with Chuck: it may be hard to see, but Chuck has always played an important role in what he does today. He offers Chuck opportunities for collaboration, including a program whose nature is unclear, a movie role, and an appearance on a song for his next album, which he calls Euthanasia.

The letter demonstrates how much Tupac looked to political role models like Public Enemy. More on this at Tupac and politics.
