"Holler If Ya Hear Me": Broadway Opening Date

An $8 million budget according to Rolling Stone and one of the largest houses in the city: On January 8, 2014, the producers announced the dates for the Tupac musical “Holler If Ya Hear Me”. Previews were scheduled to begin on May 26 at the Palace Theatre on Broadway, with the official premiere taking place on June 19.

Music from All Years, but Not a Biography

The production is set to feature songs from across Tupac’s entire career, such as “California Love”, “Keep Ya Head Up”, “Me Against the World”, and the title track. The plot is not Tupac’s biography: Todd Kreidler’s book instead tells the story of two childhood friends in an impoverished industrial city in the Midwest; Kenny Leon directs.
