"Street Fighter" hits theaters: 50 Cent explains the link to Tupac's version for Mike Tyson

At the premiere, 50 Cent says Tupac's version of "Ambitionz az a Ridah" for Mike Tyson shaped his film music. The song with Tupac is still missing.

On the red carpet in Los Angeles, the talk turned to a boxer and a song from 1996. At the premiere of Street Fighter on October 12, 2026, 50 Cent told the show “Extra” that Tupac had recorded his own version of Ambitionz az a Ridah for Mike Tyson. He built on that for the film: “I wrote a version of it.” AllHipHop reported on the interview on October 13.

Already heard in the trailer

The connection is not entirely new. When the official trailer came out in April, its music was identified as a previously unreleased version of Ambitionz az a Ridah made for Tyson in the 1990s. In the film, 50 Cent plays the boxer Balrog, a character from the Capcom games who is modeled on Tyson.

The announced song is still missing

In July, 50 Cent had announced a song with Eminem and unreleased Tupac recordings, approved by the estate and expressly not generated by artificial intelligence (report from July 24). Director Kitao Sakurai’s film has been playing in US theaters since October 16; according to The Hollywood Reporter, the screenings before the official opening alone brought in around four million dollars.

Whether the song with Tupac has come out in the meantime is not clear from the reports reviewed up to October 22, 2026. Neither a title nor a date has been reported so far.
