Nighttime Search: Davis Loses Bid to Suppress Evidence

Evidence from the 2023 house search remains admissible: Duane "Keffe D" Davis fails in Las Vegas with his motion to suppress evidence.

In July 2023, investigators searched Duane “Keffe D” Davis’s home in Henderson at night. The evidence remains admissible in court: On February 17, 2026, a judge in Las Vegas denied Davis’s motion to exclude it from the proceedings. Rolling Stone reported this, citing a courtroom source.

The Defense Criticizes a “Misleading Picture”

Davis’s attorneys William Brown and Robert Draskovich had filed the motion in late December 2025. The defense argued that investigators had painted a “misleading picture” for the search warrant: Davis had been portrayed as a potentially dangerous drug dealer, even though he was a retired grandfather whose drug convictions dated back 25 years. The investigators, for their part, wanted to search the house at night because darkness made it easier to surround it and evacuate the neighborhood with minimal disturbance.

The prosecution accuses Davis of having planned the attack on Tupac as a leader (The Investigation). He denies this and remains presumed innocent until a verdict.
