Jailhouse Brawl: 16 to 40 Months in Prison for "Keffe D"
16 to 40 months in prison for a brawl: The sentence against Duane "Keffe D" Davis changes nothing about the murder trial, which was set for February 2026.
In the courtroom, Duane “Keffe D” Davis complained that he had been attacked: “They charged me because of who I am, and that’s wrong.” On September 2, 2025, Judge Nadia Krall sentenced him to 16 to 40 months in prison. Jurors had already found Davis guilty in April of battery by a prisoner and challenging someone to a fight. Time already served is credited.
The Sentence Changes Nothing About the Murder Trial
This sentence changes nothing about Davis’s situation in the murder case: he remains in custody without bail, and his trial was then scheduled for February 2026. In August, he had changed defense attorneys; Robert Draskovich and Michael Pandullo took over. The prison sentence must be viewed separately from the charge of murdering Tupac, for which the presumption of innocence still applied. Background: The investigation.
