The Outlawz re-record Tupac's unfinished project "One Nation"

E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble carry on Tupac's “One Nation” project 25 years after his death-with guests like Chuck D, but without Tupac's unreleased originals.

In spring 1996, Tupac began recording One Nation at Can-Am Studios in Calabasas, a project meant to bring the East and West Coasts together. The Brooklyn group Boot Camp Clik was the first to join. The album was never finished; unofficial versions of alleged recordings circulate online.

The Outlawz carry the idea forward, without Tupac’s originals

For the 25th anniversary of his death, the two remaining Outlawz, E.D.I. Mean and Young Noble, took up the idea again. Their album One Nation is a reinterpretation of the concept and contains no original recordings of Tupac. According to Vibe, guests include Chuck D, Smif-N-Wessun, Krayzie Bone, Buckshot, Cee-Lo Green, DJ Premier, Conway the Machine, and Xzibit.

In the interview from October 29, the two spoke about the sessions back then and the work on the new version. Whether and when the originals will ever be released remains open.
