Tupac Estate and Marvel: 'Black Panther' Collection at Foot Locker

Nine pieces combine the design of the blockbuster Black Panther with Tupac’s name and face: On November 9, 2018, the Tupac estate and Marvel unveiled a joint clothing line. The collection is named POP by Foot Locker and was available only at Foot Locker.

Nine pieces between 25 and 50 dollars

The line includes short- and long-sleeve shirts as well as sweatshirts. According to Vibe, prices ranged between $25 for T-shirts and $50 for sweatshirts and hoodies. Complex calls the line a collaborative project between the estate and Marvel Comics.

Marvel sees music as part of the brand

Paul Gitter, Marvel’s head of licensing, told Vibe that the connection between music and Black Panther was a central part of the brand. Therefore, they were thrilled about the co-branding with an influential artist like 2Pac. Before that, the estate had released the Poetry Collection in April.
