Little Music, but Compelling
Billboard’s review called the series “sprawling and messy” and criticized that music by the two title figures was almost completely absent; at the same time, it noted the show was often compelling. Complex found it “better than expected” because it chronicles the investigations rather than the rappers’ biographies. The creators said the series shows what the authorities determined; viewers must form their own judgment. In early May, the tenth episode closed the season.
In Germany, the series ran on Netflix beginning in June 2018, according to Musikexpress. On the status of the cases: investigations.
