Three Pages of 'Dear Mama' for $75,000

Three pages with all verses and margin notes: at the bottom of the first page, Tupac noted “Yo-Yo” and “Ice Cube” as potential partners for the song. In March 2017, another piece of Tupac’s work surfaced on the collectors’ market. According to TMZ and Billboard, the auction house Moments in Time offered the handwritten lines of Dear Mama from 1995 for $75,000.

The Estate Takes Action Against the Trade

Previously, the sheets had belonged to a private collector in Poland. As early as 2016, Moments in Time had sold three notebooks with handwritten lyrics, including for Keep Ya Head Up. Shortly thereafter, the estate took legal action against this trade in Tupac’s belongings (see Estate sues auction house).
