Tupac's Hummer Goes Under the Hammer on eBay Again
The highest bid in August was one million dollars, but the bidder did not pay. In October 2003, the owner offered Tupac's Hummer once again.
The first auction of Tupac’s Hummer in August 2003 ended without a sale. As AllHipHop reported on October 8, bids had reached one million dollars, but the highest bidder never honored his bid. According to the owner, the runner-up was not serious either. He did not understand why people bid and then did not want to buy, he told the portal.
A Prize from a BET Contest
The owner had won the vehicle in a contest hosted by the network BET titled “Picture Me Rollin’”. According to these accounts, the H1 had been kept in storage since Tupac’s death in 1996 and had only 5,465 miles on the odometer. Equipment included a 6.5-liter turbodiesel, a twelve-disc CD changer, a navigation system, a public address system with three sirens, and a searchlight.
With Personal Items from the Car
Also included in the auction were items found in the vehicle: an invitation to a Labor Day party at the Opium Den in Miami from September 1, 1996, a towel, a cassette box, and a hand-drawn map on cardboard. The new auction started at 500,000 dollars with no reserve and was scheduled to end on November 20. The owner intended to use the proceeds for the education of his two children. On the first round: Hummer Auction and Fashion Line.
