Outlawz announce European tour with concerts in Germany
Tupac's former group Outlawz planned a three-week tour of Europe with ten concerts starting June 12, 2001, including dates in Germany.
The Outlawz, Tupac’s last group, are drawn to Europe. As AllHipHop reported on June 1, 2001, they wanted to begin a three-week tour on June 12. Ten concerts were planned, including appearances in Amsterdam, Germany, and France. The group itself stated the reason: their records sold very well in Europe.
“A lot of love”
“We get a lot of love over in Europe,” E.D.I. told the magazine. He noted that they looked forward to spreading plenty of “Thug Love” across the continent.
Plans for their own label
The group also wanted to follow up in the US that year through their own label, Outlaw Recordz. E.D.I. announced a new Outlawz album, along with a solo album by Young Noble and a record from the Jersey Mob project. For these, he named guests such as Rock from Heltah Skeltah, the Hot Boys, Yukmouth, Shyheim from the Wu-Tang Clan camp, and Firstarr from Onyx. The new Outlawz album was released in the fall under the title Novakane.
